Chinmaya Mission is a Global Spiritual Organisation founded by Swami Chinmayananda. It has more than 300 centres globally in more than 25 countries. For more than 5 decades Chinmaya Mission has served and continues to serve humanity through Study of Vedanta and Service to the Society.
Vedanta is the core of Hindu philosophy. In fact, it is a universal science of life. A science which is relevant to all people everywhere, whatever their faith. Chinmaya Mission’s stated mission is: “to provide to individuals, from any background, the wisdom of Vedanta and the practical means for spiritual growth and happiness, enabling them to become positive contributors to society”.

Chinmaya Mission UK
These talks on Chapter 7 of the Bhagavad Gita and the Art of Contemplation based on the Kayavali Upanishad have been made available through the Chinmaya Mission UK. Chinmaya Mission is involved in spreading the sublime message of Vedanta and providing extensive social service.
Chinmaya Mission UK is an extremely active branch of the Chinmaya Mission Worldwide. Its London centre, Chinmaya Kirti (meaning glory of “eternal knowledge”), is a focal point for the study of Vedanta, spiritual development and value-based living. Many activities, classes, satsangs are available every day.

Balavihar & Junior CHYK: The purpose of Balavihar and Junior CHYK is to impart values to children and instill the Art of Right Thinking among the youth. Trained sevaks teach classes on values, Vedic philosophy and all other facets of Hinduism, channelling young minds upwards, allowing every child to tap into their inner, infinite potential and encouraging the next generation to be dynamic young men and woman of integrity.

Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (CHYK): The youth wing of the Chinmaya Mission seeks to harness the youth potential through dynamic spirituality and inspire a generation of youth to become happy, motivated positive contributors to society. CHYKs are involved in a wide range of Mission activities, from organising weekend retreats and conducting regular study classes to co-ordinating University outreach programmes and teaching Balavihar classes. Whatever we do, we seek to bring out the best in one another and in ourselves: to live life to the full in its truest sense.
A series of programmes are being held for children, teenagers and youths during September.

Swami Chinmayananda was one of the 20th century's most world-renowned and revered exponents of Vedanta, the foundation of Hindu religion and culture.
In his 42 years of relentless service, Swami Chinmayananda left an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of people, and his footprints in the multifarious service projects he inspired in the Mission. He created a vast legacy - a global organization committed to Vedanta and also started numerous educational institutions and social service projects. He lives on in the priceless publications of Chinmaya Mission and in the hearts of millions as a saint and teacher extraordinaire. Swami Chinmayananda's life was indeed a saga of immeasurable strength, boundless love, tireless service, and metaphysical reach.

As the present Head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, Swami Tejomayananda has continuously and dynamically pursued his guru's grand spiritual and organizational vision. Progressive in thinking and precise in decision-making, he has inspired and executed many notable, innovative projects, including the Chinmaya International Residential School in Coimbatore, the Chinmaya Centre of World Understanding in New Delhi, the Chinmaya International Foundation near Cochin, the Chinmaya Heritage Centre in Chennai, the expansion of the Chinmaya Mission Hospital in Bangalore and the Chinmaya Vibhooti Vision Centre near Pune which is at present and still in progress.
In overseeing the Mission's global activities and projects, Swami Tejomayananda's tours around the world are extensive and continuous. Throughout his travels, he conducts jnana yajnas (3-7 day Vedanta lecture series) in different cities and various countries every week. His gentle manner, devotional heart, intellectual clarity, joyful wit, and open availability have earned him intergenerational appeal and endeared him to millions across the globe.

Swami Swaroopananda left his family's thriving business in Hong Kong at an early age to seek what he now calls, "Real answers to real problems". He was convinced that beyond our everyday, superficial joys and sorrows, there was something more - something higher. After undergoing intensive monastic training and an exhaustive study of the Scriptures at the Chinmaya Mission headquarters in Bombay, Swamiji returned to Hong Kong in 1986 to spread the timeless message of Vedanta. His name then was Brahmachari Susheel. Under the guidance and inspiration of Swami Chinmayananda and Swami Tejomayananda he would later become the acharya-in-charge of the Far East and other centres throughout the world. Throughout his speaking career Swami Swaroopananda has held his audiences - adults, youth, and children alike - spellbound by his amazingly practical and extremely user friendly approach to Spirituality. He reminds us that there is a greater and more compelling Truth that provides the solutions to all our problems, enabling us to live a truly happy and positive life.
Swamiji is the Regional head of the Chinmaya Mission UK, Australia and South East Asia & Middle-East and is also the director of the Chinmaya Mission International Residential school in Coimbatore, India.
